George J. Pratt, Ph.D. and Peter T. Lambrou, Ph.D. provide training within a unique blend of experimental psychology using thought energy therapies, acupuncture meridian therapies, visualization, and cognitive methods. Emotional Self-Management is founded on Western cognitive approaches and Eastern understandings of the body's energy as descriptions for the fulcrum between experience and emotion.

Emotional Self-Management (ESM) is a method of balancing the mind/body's energy to restore clear thinking, calm mood, and self-confidence in your ability to be effective in your personal and professional life. The techniques of thought energy therapy are based on the ancient knowledge of the body associated with the acupuncture system blended with modern awareness of the importance of thought on our physical and emotional body. You will see how to apply this system on your own emotional distresses. This is a hands-on workshop where you will have an opportunity to use the methods to improve your own life. The powerful techniques of Emotional Self-Management have been used by clinicians to help resolve the emotional distress associated with severe traumas, anger, guilt, serious clinical anxiety, and compulsive behaviors such as over-eating, gambling, smoking, and drinking.
 
Now you can use ESM to empower yourself to better handle the day-to-day stresses of work, family, and personal challenges; and to excel at those activities that are important in your life such as sports, test-taking, public speaking, presentations, and negotiating.

Professional training in ESM presently encompasses two levels.


Phase 1. You first discover the foundations of energy psychotherapy and acquire the skills to begin using some of these methods immediately in your clinical work. At the completion of this training stage you learn how the body's energy system can be used to neutralize or eliminate many of the most common emotional distresses including fears, anxiety, anger, guilt, grief, emotional trauma, frustration, obsessive thinking and compulsiveness. You will have the skills to begin applying thought energy therapy to a certain range of problems.

Phase 2. In this training you will learn additional treatment sequences to address a wider range of emotional targets. You also began learning how to use muscle testing for identifying unconscious blocks and additional treatment locations. Upon completing this stage of training you will possess a broad spectrum of effective treatment sequences as well as a number of problem solving exercises and procedures. You will also have the skills to identify an energy therapy diagnosis and deliver effective treatments.
